Yes, our visitors can use a free Wi-Fi connection throughout the museum (Freewave). The best download quality is in the ticket office area. 
However, the app can also be downloaded anywhere with an internet connection before visiting the museum.

The MuseumAPP is available in German, English or in ÖGS (Austrian Sign Language).

Open the MuseumAPP and click on the "Start" button. 
Select Haus der Geschichte or Haus für Natur. In the respective houses you can choose between "Explore" or "Tours".
With "Explore" you can design your own museum tour, with "Tours" you can choose from ready-made tours with selected stops that will guide you through the museum. 
The MuseumAPP can be used online and offline (with or without an internet connection).

Yes, the Museum Niederösterreich provides headphones on request, but in the interests of sustainability we recommend that our visitors bring their own headphones and use them.

In the MuseumAPP in the Haus der Geschichte or Haus für Natur, select the "Explore" button or the "Tours" button. 
With "Explore" you can - as the name suggests - explore the museum yourself. In the Haus der Geschichte, the objects are arranged according to subject areas, in the Haus für Natur according to habitats. When you are in the Museum Niederösterreich, the respective stations start to pulsate as soon as you are near them. This transmission works via Bluetooth. 
The "tours" provide you with ready-made museum tours. Individual highlights in the Haus der Geschichte or the Haus für Natur are selected as stations and the MuseumAPP guides you through the museum. You can interrupt the tour at any time if you would like to visit another station in the museum that is not on the tour.
You can also read and listen to all the contents of the MuseumAPP from the comfort of your own home.

The MuseumAPP can be used from the age of 6, as it provides content suitable for children (e.g. the "Animated animal stories" tour through the Haus für Natur).
